The Indians and Trevor Bauer will find out sometime in the next several days who won their arbitration case to determine Bauera€™s salary for the 2019 season.

Bauer and the Indians went through their second arbitration hearing in as many years on Friday in St. Petersburg, Fla. Last year Bauer and his representatives from Wasserman Media Group beat the Indians. He received a salary of $6.525 million compared to the Indiansa€™ offer of $5.3 million.

The stakes are higher this year. Bauer filed for a $13 million in January, while the Indians countered at $11 million.A MLBtraderumors.comprojected that Bauer could make $11.6 million in arbitration, but there is no middle ground once the two sides go to a hearing. The arbitration panel can pick only the player or teama€™s salary figure after listening to deliberations from both sides.

Bauer is the first Indians player to beat the team in arbitration sinceA Greg Swindell in 1991.
